All of the paintings are all either 5”x7” or 4”x8” horizontally and vertically oriented. I painted both Plein Air style (out in nature inspired to paint by what I saw) as well as worked from my imagination and photographs. With the exception of using a variety of colors for my backgrounds (usually leftover paint from my florals) I used the limited color palette of Prussian Blue, Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow Medium and Cadmium Red Light mixed with cold wax medium. I made many delightful discoveries over the course of the month and look forward to exploring landscapes further in my painting practice.
