Inspired by Bohemian Beach in the Good Harbor Bay.

Because we were staying right on Little Traverse Lake at my friend’s family cottage, we really didn’t need to explore the local beaches but since my college days and since they sold the cottage we stayed in those two magical summers, this beach, Bohemian Beach, has become my favorite beach on the Leelanau Peninsula. There’s something about the pebbly beach and the way the waves sound in rolling into the Good Harbor Bay that’s just so peaceful, so healing.

Oil and cold wax medium on Arches oil paper with beautiful deckled edges. Approximately 20.5”x16” overall paper size. Painted area on the paper is approximately 20”x15.5”. These paintings are not on panels. Each piece will be titled, signed and dated on the back.
